Hello, dear readers! That's my first blog post here and I wanted it to be about my debut novel, "Curse of the Stars."
I hope to clarify certain points about my book, so that you all can run to Amazon to grab your own copy after you've finished reading the post! :)
So, after this (hopefully) impressive introduction, let me tell you some brief details about my book!
CURSE OF THE STARS: 1st book in the ongoing trilogy
Genre: Dark Fantasy, Gothic Romance, Witchcraft
Setting: Edwardian England
Main Character: Melody Abertfield
Time Period: 1900s
Age Range: 16-26 (Young Adult)
Representation of Sexualities: some of the main and secondary characters represent the LGBT+ community.
Trigger Warnings: Dark Magick (like, really dark) Torture, Devils, Death, Anxiety, Grief.
Summary:
In the 1900s London, an ambitious girl Melody Abertfield's desire to have a perfectly normal year in the Darkgrove Academy gets slightly ruined as the ancient deviltry in her blood begins to awaken. When her life collides with the Cult members in a stunning chain of rituals, the darkness inside of her makes her feel safer than the light. She finds herself captivated by the chaos of the stars, bloodthirsty witches, and a young man, Elliot, who haunts her heart more than anything…
Q: How's the main character like?
A: She's the combination of gracefulness and strength. She's a gray witch whose powers are not Awakened when she starts the pretentious boarding school, the Darkgrove Academy. Just like how it's stated in the summary, her life turns upside down after she realizes the ancient power that dwells in her very being. But we'll see how she finds her own way in a world that belongs to the wicked.
Q: What's the main ship in the book?
A: Melody and Elliot. It starts as a slow burn at first, but I couldn't resist keeping them apart for too long! Although it may seem like they're the opposites of each other, they are both the fire that fuels the power and passion in one another.
Q: Is there any love triangle?
A: Not really...until the second book, "Curse of the Wicked."
Q: What's your inspiration for the magick and fantasy elements in the book?
A: I've read about the actual ancient rituals in witchcraft history and combined them with my own imagination. But the rest of the fantasy elements in the book come from my own subconscious:)
Q: Where to buy your books?
A: They're all available on Amazon! Click here to purchase now!
— That's all for this blog post, because I dont want to keep it long and deprive you of reading the actual book😁❤️🔥
